 Waterproof (TAPED SEAMS) Jacket. Min 500ml fluid in a reusable hydration system/bottle (NO CUPS ON THE ROUTE), cap/hat/buff, mobile phone fully charged and gloves. A map must also be carried and will be provided at registration at The Surfhouse.


The use of headphones is NOT acceptable and will lead to disqualification.

Misbehaved dogs will get owners disqualified also.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL 'LITTLE JACK' ENTRANTS WILL HAVE MANDATORY COACH TRAVEL DUE TO LIMITED PARKING IN ZENNOR. THIS WILL BE THE SAME PICK UP AS THE CLASSIC JACK (BEACH ROAD OPP THE TATE CAR PARK IN ST IVES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL. A CHAPERONE WILL MEET YOU THERE AT A CERTIFIED TIME.



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There are baggage transport facilities but no shower facilities.
Cape Cornwall Car Park has toilet facilities as has St Ives
You will ultimately be responsible for your own belongings and cars as they will be left at YOUR own risk.


OTHER CAR PARKS NEAR THE START (MAY INCUR A CHARGE)
In the event that the car park at the Cape should become full there are 2 others in St Just which would mean a 1-2 (Depending on route) mile warm up to Cape Cornwall.

Just follow the Cape Cornwall or Cot Valley signs if you're wishing to walk or warm up run to the start.

As it is a Saturday public transport will be available via bus journey.

The service numbers to look up are 1,1A,T1,T2,17 and 17A.

Start: 10am from the quay. Up through the golf course and out beside St Uny Church.
No cut off time.
Registration and nutrition collection:  8.00-9:15am
Walk to start: 9:45am

DIFFICULTY- (Moderate with moo cows xD )
11 miles from Station Hill next to The Badger to The Station House in Marazion overlooking the mount on the Alternate section of the Way on the SWCP following a not so direct route from coast to coast.
The route is made up of trails, farms, stiles, gates, cows, horses and several shreds of tarmac to break it up with magnificent views to make up for it following The St Michal's Way route.(The UK's only designated European Cultural Route) This race is a first!
Note:
There are 3 main A road crossings (A30 at Ludgvan Leaze and A394 into Marazion Marsh. You'll also be crossing the A3074 at Carbis Bay on Fuel Station 1) also some minor B roads and one unlit train crossing at Marazion Marsh.
Although they will be manned areas YOU WILL ULTIMATELY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFTEY SO STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN)THINK HEDGEHOG ;)

NOTE

Think about car sharing, receiving a lift from family and/or friends or using public transport.


As this is a Saturday public transport is available in the form of trains from Hayle and Penzance and buses from Penzance(2 miles from PZ which is the T1 bus) and from Hayle and Lelant (T2) . Timetables will be available at your local bus station and online using search engines. There will be discounts available when pre-booking cabs from A1 cars in St Ives.


Even though this is a Point A to Point B race there will not be a shuttle bus or other method of travel put on by Bys Vyken Events.


All this information will be emailed to every participant 4 weeks prior to the events taking place.

You should run facing traffic where possible. Roads may be quiet but some sections will be busy. Even though we have marshals ultimately you are responsible for looking where you are running.
You must arrange your own way home if you drop out. Please let a marshal know and don't just wander off!

A 13.1 mile out and back from Land's End to Cape Cornwall and return. Highlights are the RMS Mulheim shipwreck below Mean Cliff at Gamper Bay, Sennen Cove, Aire Point, Ballowall Barrow, Porth Nanven, Pol Pry and the formidable turnaround point of the historic and iconic Cape Cornwall itself.
